Voter registration for our 2023 Board of Directors election is now open! Click here to sign into our new NYS HIMSS website and register to vote! If you do not follow these instructions and register to vote before June 2nd 11:59pm EST you will NOT be eligible to vote.
Quick reference voter registration instructions:
1. Log in to our NYS HIMSS Website (for details on logging in - click here to view a short video):
2. Choose 'Surveys and Elections'
3. Select the 'Take Survey' blue button under '2023 BOD Election Voter Registration'
Complete and submit the survey - Your Done!
** Important Election Information **
Election Schedule:
- Voter registration ends June 2nd at 11:59pm EST
- Candidate campaigning and voting will occur between June 5th and June 23rd. During this time candidate biographies will be available on our new NYS HIMSS website.
Voter Eligibility:
To be Eligible to vote, you must
- Be a member in good standing with both the national HIMSS organization and the New York State Chapter (note: student members are ineligible to vote)
- Have the above status by 23:59 EST May 31st 2023
- Have registered to vote by 23:59 EST June 2nd 2023
Both registration and voting are being managed using our new secure NYS HIMSS website. The emails you receive will be from Tony Ferrante .
Voter Registration
- You must be registered to vote in this election
- Voter registration concludes June 2nd 2023 at 23:59 EST. After this time, the registration process will be closed and those attempting to register will be disallowed
Voting
- Voting will take place from June 5th 2023 08:00am EST through June 23rd 2023 23:59pm EST using the NYS HIMSS website
- Once a vote is cast, the voting process ends and ballots cannot be changed/modified
Additional information: If you have recently become a member, you may need to:
- Email all documentation certifying your membership to the Election Committee no later than May 31st 2023 11:59pm EST.
- Any documentation received after May 31st 2023 11:59pm EST will be rejected and you will NOT be eligible to register or to vote in this years election.
